New features, new sections, new products!

We’ve created this section as a quick way of finding out what’s new on our site. This could be a change to the functionality or layout of this site; a new resource becoming available online; a new edition of the magazine becoming available; or even a new book being published. All of that information will be posted here, together with links, to help you to get to what you want to see, as quick as possible.

Each new entry will be sorted by date, with the newest news at the top of the list. Bookmark this page for a quick way to keep up-to-date with what's happening at the Christadelphian!

New publications available

This is a belated notification of items that we have published in the previous quarter.

Prayer Diary – Continue in Prayer This diary is not related to any specific year, and aims to encourage more attention to prayer by providing opportunity to record and remember important topics, so that prayer becomes an integral part of daily life. There are also suggestions about praying in different circumstances, and Bible readings and quotations. Available to order online with a blue or green cover.

A Time to See by Sister S. J. Knight, is a sequel to A Time to Hear. These are works of fiction, not exposition. The first volume is based on events surrounding the times of John the Baptist, viewed through the eyes and experiences of a young Galilean boy. The second moves the story to the last months of Christ’s ministry. Both are available online.

Advocate and Heralds – the magazines of John Thomas, 1834…1861 This CD-ROM contains all the magazines edited by John Thomas between the years 1834-1861 – The Apostolic Advocate (5 volumes, 1834-38), Herald of the Future Age (4 volumes, 1845-48), and Herald of the Kingdom and Age to Come (11 volumes, 1851-61). They show his dedication to searching out the truth of the Gospel message. As with the Christadelphian Magazine disc, this will work as part of the Libronix Digital Library System. New organisation of online sections

The whole website has just undergone a change designed to make navigating through our site a little easier. We’ve now made the main sections of our site a little more obvious - they are now grouped into Magazines, Books, Pamphlets, and Shop.

So, whereas The Christadelphian and Faith Alive! magazines had their own heading before, they are now grouped under the heading ‘Magazines’ - as they’re both magazines (kind of obvious, really!).

A new section has been added, called ‘Books’. This has a complete list of the currently-available books published by the Christadelphian office, together with links to the shop, reviews from the magazines and a new ‘read online’ section!

The old ‘Resources’ section has been renamed ‘Pamphlets’, where you can find our Standard Pamphlet Series and the Bible Companion.

Finally, the ‘Bookshop’ has been renamed ‘Shop’ – as we sell more than our own books!

We hope that this makes finding your way around our site easier and more intuitive.

The printed What’s on? section has been discontinued, but is now completely online, and updated every month - making it more relevant for readers throughout the world. Why not go over to the current Faith Alive! section and see what has changed for yourself?

New sections on our website!

From now on, we are adding the list of Fraternal Gatherings, Youth Weekends, North American Gatherings and Bible Schools on our website, in addition to being published in the back of the magazine each month. Like the version published in the magazine, this will be updated on a monthly basis, and is an ideal place to look if you can’t find your latest copy of The Christadelphian! This is split into two lists; the first is a complete copy of what is published in the magazine, and can be found here. The second is edited to focus more on Youth Gatherings and Bible Schools; this can be found on the Faith Alive! What’s on? page.

New Study Guide on Daniel now available

Just received from the printer is a new volume in the popular Study Guide series. The Daniel Study Guide is written by Mike Lewis and contains information about Daniel the man, about the Babylonian Empire, and about the prophecies that Daniel received and explained concerning future events in God’s purpose. Copies can be ordered online.

December 9:
New book on John the Baptist now available

Newly arrived and available for immediate dispatch is a new book, The Forerunner – John the Baptist by Mark Allfree. The book considers John’s miraculous birth and the task he was given by God to prepare people in Israel for the coming Messiah. The importance of this task and its relevance in introducing the great work of the Lord Jesus Christ is a fascinating story, deeply embedded in scripture in both the Old and New Testaments. There are very few works that deal solely with the life and teaching of John, so this book fills a significant gap. Copies can be ordered online.

Pocket-sized leather hymn books are now back in stock

The pocket- and standard-size editions of the 2002 hymn book are available in two different bindings - hardback and leather. However, due to the popularity of the leather-bound versions they have been difficult to get hold of. This was particularly true of the pocket-sized hymn book as even the hardback edition was out of stock. While the hardback edition has been available for a couple of months, we’re pleased to announce that the pocket-sized leather edition is now back in stock and available to order online.

November 14:
New section on our website: “What's new?”

Obviously the addition of this “what's new?” section would have to appear on this list! For full details, see the top of this page.

November 12:
Our site now conforms to W3C standards

Most people won’t notice the difference and won’t care; in fact the only thing you may notice is the appearance of some graphics appearing at the bottom of some pages. But these graphics indicate that the page they appear on confirms to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards for XHTML and CSS! In layman’s terms, this means that this site should look and behave the same using any browser, running any operating system, on any device.

Sadly, not all sites on the internet do this - some will only work with one particular browser, or only on a particular machine; it can be very frustrating when you try to view the site when you don't have access to the ‘supported’ device, and the site doesn't behave correctly or look right! Hopefully, by making sure our site conforms to these standards, it will minimise this particular problem on our site. Of course, if you do find any problems, then let us know as soon as you can!

(While our main site conforms fully, our online bookstore is currently not included. This will be added as soon as possible.)

November 10:
Cambridge “Interlinear” Bibles now back in stock

The Cambridge “Interlinear” Bibles, with their AV and RV text, are a very popular Bible for study purposes. Of these, the Semi- and Fully-Interleaved versions were especially useful, due to the notepaper which was inserted into the body of the Bible (the Semi-Interleaved version has one page of ruled notepaper followed by two pages of text, and the Fully-Interleaved version has one page of ruled notepaper followed by one page of text). However, these versions were unobtainable for many years.

We are pleased to announce that we now have more stock of these Interleaved editions, together with a regular goatskin edition. You can order them online.
