This area lists the most commonly asked questions when checking out items from our website, which are listed below.

I've added all the items I want to my basket. How do I pay for it?
After you have all you want, just go to the checkout to pay for your items. You can do this in a number of ways:
- You can go straight to the checkout at any time by clicking the [Checkout] link, which is just underneath the tabs at the top of the page of the online bookshop.
- You can view the contents of your basket (discussed in this question) and click the [Checkout] button.
- After adding an item to your basket, you can click the [Checkout] button shown on the confirmation page.
I'm in the checkout but it looks very complicated - how do I get through it successfully?
It's true that the checkout process can be quite daunting for a first-time user; however, we're sure you'll find that it's actually very logical and quite straightforward! To help you, we've added help text next to each item in the checkout process; however, if you still need help, this is a step-by-step guide to correctly completing the checkout process.
One thing to remember is that anything you must fill in will be accompanied with a message in bold text that says "You must fill this in to continue" or words to that effect. Anything else is optional. If you miss any of these required fields, when you click the [Next>] button it will take you back to the same page, with a warning box at the top of the page. Just follow the instructions in this box before proceeding.
- The first step does two things.
- It shows you what is in your basket; if there are any errors, just click the [Cancel] button at the bottom. You can then make any necessary changes using the [View or change basket] link at the top of the page (discussed in this section).
- It asks you to specify what country you want your order delivered to. This is done by selecting your country from a drop-down list. If you are ordering from the USA or Canada, you will also be required to select your state from the second drop-down list. If you are ordering from anywhere else, you can ignore this second list.
- The second step is the place where you enter in your address details and shipping preferences.
- Invoice address. This is where you enter your invoice address details (if you want your order sent to another address, that address information is entered on the next page). As you will notice, only some of the fields are required - they are highlighted in blue. You will also see that there are [Change] buttons next to the ‘Country’ and ‘Ship to separate delivery address’ fields. If you click either of these buttons it will take you back to the first page of the checkout so you can amend the details.
- Coupons. If you have a special offer code for our online bookstore, then enter it here. If not, simple move on to the next section.
- Taxes. If you are ordering from outside the UK or European Union, then check the box. This will remove any taxes from your shopping basket, which aren't applicable for overseas customers.
- Shipping and handling. This is where you specify how you want your order to be sent to you. Make your selection from the drop-down menu.
- Special instructions. If you have any special instructions, (for example, you might want to redeem a Christadelphian Office book token on this order, or your parcel left with a neighbour, or you want to pick up your order), you can specify it here. These instructions will be passed on to the relevant person with your order.
- The third step is where you enter your delivery address (if you checked the ‘Ship to separate delivery address’ box), give any feedback you may have, and your payment method.
- Delivery address. If you wanted your order sent to a different address, fill in the details here. If you didn't check the ‘Ship to separate delivery address’ box, then this section won't appear.
- General information. You can enter any feedback about the webstore here. It isn't required, but any feedback is a great help!
- Payment method. This is where you choose how you want to pay, by selecting it from the drop-down list.
- The final step (the completion of your order) varies, depending on which payment method you select.
- If you select Credit or Debit Card, when you select [Next>] it will open a separate page which informs you that you will be taken to a secure server. You can either click the [Next>] button, or if you wait, you will be automatically sent there.
- When you are there, make sure you are in a secure page. You can do this by checking that the web address starts with 'https://'. You should also see a padlock icon on your browser. If you see these, you can be sure that anything you enter here cannot be read by unauthorised people. If it doesn't, then cancel the transaction.
- Assuming you have a secure connection, select your Credit card type from the drop-down menu. If you don't see your card type listed, we are unable to accept it.
- Enter your card number into the next box.
- You will also need to enter the CVV (Card Verification Value) number which is the last 3 digits on the signature strip on the back of the card.
- You will also need to enter the expiry date of your card using the drop-down lists.
- Depending on your card type, you may also have to enter additional information, such as Issue number and / or Start date.
Please note! If you enter your information, then press [Cancel], we won't receive your order. You must press the [Next>] button to send your order. Be sure to only press the button once, otherwise a duplicate order will be sent.
Once you press the [Next>] button, you will be directed to another page which says 'Wait for your browser to forward to the next page, or click here.' While you are waiting, your order is being transmitted securely to us. If everything goes to plan, you will see a page containing a receipt for you to print off. Once you have finished with this page, click the [Done] button; this will take you back to the top level of our webstore. - If you select Invoice with order, when you select [Next>] it will send your order to us. If everything goes to plan, you will see a page containing a receipt for you to print off. Once you have finished with this page, click the [Done] button; this will take you back to the top level of our webstore.

Once you have completed it, you will have successfully checked out your order! You should also receive an order confirmation email which will be sent to the email address you supplied. If you don't receive it, please email us to check we have received your order.
