God's call in Leviticus
For many who have read Leviticus today, even many who have embraced the Gospel of Christ, the wording of God's call is not attractive; they are not drawn closer to God by the material in the book, but feel distant from Him and perplexed by much of the law. The objective of this book, therefore, is to show the relevance of Leviticus for today's disciples of Christ, and to draw the unmistakable links between God's message to the nation of Israel in the wilderness, and that to followers of the Lord Jesus who are in a wilderness of probation, endeavouring to enter fully into God's promised rest.

The long journey from Egypt to the Land of Canaan lasted forty years, and the generation that was brought by God's power out of Egypt died in the wilderness. The new generation stood on the threshold of the Promised Land where Moses spoke words of comfort, warning and encouragement. These great declarations of God's purpose with His people have been preserved in the fifth book of the Bible, Deuteronomy.
The generation that is now waiting to enter the kingdom when the Lord Jesus returns can learn much from Moses' exhortation. It is a message about the holiness of God and the relationship He seeks with men and women of faith.

This book originally took form as a set of full-length lecture notes, which were specially compiled for use with a course of twelve addresses on the Law of Moses at a Bible Study Class.
The book is intended as a key to understanding the Law as a whole; and that in doing so it will induce readers to undertake for themselves a study in greater depth, for as the author writes in his preface:
"... nothing is more satisfying than that intimate and sympathetic understanding of God's word which comes only from one's own eager and prayerful consideration of its pages."

A series of articles first published in The Christadelphian (1998 - 2000), published as book form.
"We can view the books of Chronicles as documents preparing a people for the Saviour to come. Like the Gospel accounts of Matthew and Luke, they commence with genealogical information, and continue by describing the growth and power of privileged classes in Judah who quickly moved away from relying on God's word, killing the prophets and stoning those who were sent to them from God."
In these words the book is recommended as a help to the reading of the books of Chronicles.

The author of this book examines carefully the development of Job's character under trial. He sees the whole book as a powerful example of God's self-revelation. He portrays the life of Job, moreover, as a parable of human life generally: afflicted by sin (typified by leprosy), in bondage to mortality, in need of redemption, and (with the eye of faith) looking to the hope of resurrection. Many helpful parallels between the language and events of Job's life and Christ's redemptive work are drawn.
This book, comprising first an overall survey of the book and then chapter by chapter notes, is useful for all who want to understand more of this fascinating character from partiarchal times.

Volume one of a three-volume set (Psalms 1-72).
The Book of Psalms, containing the thoughts and meditations of David the sweet Psalmist of Israel, adds an immeasurably important dimension to the scriptural account of the lives of men and women revealed in other parts of God's word. Those other accounts, while given from a divine standpoint are often an external view of events. In the Psalms are found the thoughts, the hopes, fears and aspirations of the writers. There are expressions of deep and abiding trust, alongside others that express utter confusion and despair. In them we find mirrored our own spiritual journey.
